## From the vendor

LogMeIn Rescue is remote support software from LogMeIn, the IT products brand of GoTo, for help desks and IT teams running on-demand and unattended remote sessions to Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS and Android devices. A technician starts a session by sending a customer a PIN code or a branded Calling Card link, or connects to an already-enrolled device without the end user present. Core functionality covers screen sharing and remote control, a built-in file manager for moving files during a session, in-session chat, session recording and audit logging, and scriptable, silent installation of the technician console and Calling Card applet across a fleet of machines. Mobile support for iOS and Android devices is sold as a separate add-on rather than included in the base plan. LogMeIn Rescue is sold as a cloud service only, with no self-hosted or on-premises option, on a per-technician subscription billed annually. GoTo does not publish the per-technician rate on its pricing page; the figure is shown only once a plan and currency are chosen at checkout, or supplied by a salesperson for the Rescue Enterprise tier, which adds a dedicated support team, white-glove onboarding and a committed support SLA. A free trial is available with no credit card required, but there is no free version once the trial ends. Optional add-on modules for AI-assisted session summaries, enhanced security, live chat and screen translation, and mobile device support are quoted separately from the base plan. LogMeIn Rescue integrates with ticketing and CRM platforms including ConnectWise PSA, Autotask, ServiceNow, Salesforce, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Dynamics, Zendesk and Jira Service Management, letting a technician launch a session and log the outcome from inside those tools. GoTo is based in Boston, Massachusetts, and traces back to 2003 as LogMeIn; the company renamed its corporate identity to GoTo in 2022, then relaunched LogMeIn as the brand for its remote support and endpoint management products, including Rescue, from 28 January 2025. Before buying, an MSP should get a firm per-technician quote covering the number of seats and any add-ons it needs, since the Remote Device Support plan is the only one with a self-serve checkout and the headline price is not shown in advance.

## Our take

LogMeIn Rescue suits IT teams and MSPs that want ad-hoc, PIN-based support sessions alongside unattended access, and that already run ConnectWise PSA or Autotask, since ticket logging is built in. Its strongest points on paper are session recording, audit logging and scriptable deployment across larger technician teams; its weakest is pricing, which GoTo does not publish, so budgeting means talking to sales or working through the online checkout to see a real number. A smaller MSP comparing it against TeamViewer, Splashtop or ScreenConnect should get a like-for-like quote that includes mobile device support, since that is a separate paid add-on rather than something included by default. On a trial, check whether the AI session-summary and enhanced security add-ons are actually needed, since both carry their own cost on top of the base plan.

### Does LogMeIn Rescue offer a free trial?

LogMeIn Rescue offers a free trial. There is no free version.

### What does LogMeIn Rescue integrate with?

### Is LogMeIn Rescue cloud or on-premises?

### Who is LogMeIn Rescue for?

MSPs report using LogMeIn Rescue at sizes of 16-50, 51-200 and 200+ technicians.

### Is LogMeIn Rescue priced per technician or per endpoint?

LogMeIn Rescue is sold per technician per month rather than per endpoint or per session, with billing set annually. LogMeIn does not publish the exact rate on its pricing page; it is shown only after a plan and currency are chosen at checkout, or quoted directly by sales for the Rescue Enterprise tier. An MSP should get a firm per-seat quote for its actual technician count before comparing it with a rival.

### Does LogMeIn Rescue offer a free trial or a free version?

LogMeIn Rescue offers a free trial with no credit card required, letting an MSP test remote sessions before paying. There is no free version once the trial period ends; ongoing use requires a paid, per-technician subscription to the Remote Device Support plan or a quoted Enterprise agreement.

### Is LogMeIn Rescue the same product as GoTo Rescue?

Yes. GoTo briefly put its remote support and endpoint management products, including Rescue, under the GoTo product name, then relaunched them under the LogMeIn brand from 28 January 2025. The product itself has not changed, only the brand name it is sold under; GoTo, Inc. remains the corporate owner.

### Does LogMeIn Rescue integrate with ConnectWise or Autotask?

Yes, LogMeIn Rescue integrates with both ConnectWise PSA and Autotask, letting a technician start a session from a ticket and post session details back to it. It also connects to ServiceNow, Salesforce, Microsoft Teams, Zendesk, Jira Service Management and Microsoft Dynamics, so it is not built around a single PSA.

### Can LogMeIn Rescue control Android and iOS devices?

Yes, but mobile device support is a separate paid add-on rather than part of the base Remote Device Support plan. LogMeIn quotes the add-on separately, so a technician team supporting phones and tablets alongside desktops should ask for a combined quote rather than pricing the base plan alone.
