Most of the software an MSP buys has no public price list. The reported pricing block on a listing exists because the only reliable source for that number is the people already paying it.
We do not publish an individual price report, and we never attribute a figure to a person or a company. A price appears on a listing only once at least three different members have reported one for the same product and unit, in the same currency, in the same twelve months. Below that count there is nothing to see, and the listing says so.
A median and the number of reports, once there are three or more. A low and a high figure once there are five or more, rounded so a single report cannot be reverse-engineered from the range. Where MSPs report it: how many say the contract auto-renews, the typical notice period to cancel, and the smallest quantity a vendor will sign a contract for. This is what real MSPs report paying and agreeing to, not a published price list.
Reports from the last twelve months are used when three or more of them exist. When they do not, the window widens to twenty-four months and the listing says so, because an older price is still more useful than none.
MSP Software is the publisher of the aggregate figures on this site, not the individual MSPs who reported the numbers behind them. Every report is checked before it counts toward an aggregate, and a report that looks wrong for the product or the unit is held rather than published automatically.
