Avanan, now part of Check Point's Harmony Email security line, connects to Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace through an API rather than sitting in front of mail flow as a traditional gateway, so it can scan messages after native filtering and catch phishing that gets through, including attacks that only activate after delivery. It suits MSPs and IT teams who want an additional layer behind Microsoft's or Google's own filtering rather than replacing it, and who prefer an API-based deployment that does not require changing MX records. Pricing is per user per month, quoted through a Check Point partner rather than published as a fixed price. It integrates natively with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, and with the wider Check Point Harmony security suite for organisations already using Check Point's network or endpoint products, plus SIEM tools for centralised alerting across a client's full security stack.
