From the vendor

Zoho Assist is browser-based remote support and access software from Zoho, covering on-demand support sessions for customer-facing help desks and unattended access for IT and MSP teams managing unmonitored devices. A session runs from a browser with no software installation required to start it, and a separate downloadable agent provides unattended access to a technician's configured devices. The product is split into two licence types sold at the same tier price points: Remote Support, for ad-hoc sessions started by email, SMS or a join link, and Unattended Access, for pre-installed access to a fixed group of computers. It suits IT help desks, MSPs and customer support teams that want lightweight remote access without deploying a full RMM platform, and organisations such as schools or healthcare providers running their own device support.

Pricing is published on Zoho's site and starts at 8 pounds per technician per month for the Standard tier of either Remote Support or Unattended Access, billed annually (checked September 2026); paying month to month costs more, and local taxes are added on top of the published price. Professional and Enterprise raise the price to 12 pounds and 19 pounds a technician a month for Remote Support, adding features such as screen sharing, session recording, video chat and custom domain mapping as the tiers go up; Unattended Access stops at a Professional tier priced the same as its Remote Support equivalent. A free plan covers one technician, five unattended computers and a single concurrent session, and there is a 15-day free trial of the paid tiers with no credit card required. Zoho Assist integrates with helpdesk and ITSM tools including Zendesk, Freshdesk, ServiceNow and Jira, plus Zoho's own Desk and SalesIQ products, Slack and Microsoft Teams, and it publishes an API for custom workflows.

Zoho is privately held with no outside investors and is based in India. Zoho Assist's console and agents run on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS as well as in the browser. MSPs should check the concurrent session limit on the tier they pick against how many technicians run sessions at once, confirm whether their preferred helpdesk or PSA is on the current integration list rather than assuming direct support, and note that pricing is per technician rather than per endpoint, which changes the comparison against RMM-bundled remote access tools.

Our take

Zoho Assist suits an MSP or help desk that wants cheap, browser-based remote access without buying a full RMM just for the remote control feature, and its per-technician pricing from 8 pounds a month undercuts the published starting points of rivals such as ScreenConnect and Splashtop. The free plan and 15-day trial make it easy to try hands-on before committing. It is thinner on MSP-specific tooling than those rivals: integrations lean towards general helpdesk software such as Zendesk and Freshdesk rather than the PSAs most MSPs already run, and there is no self-hosted option for shops that need to keep sessions off Zoho's own cloud. Confirm the concurrent session cap on the tier you pick, check your PSA isn't missing from the current integration list, and decide whether you need unattended access, remote support, or both, since they are priced and licensed as separate plans.

Is Zoho Assist priced per technician or per device?

Zoho Assist is priced per technician rather than per device or endpoint, with published prices starting at 8 pounds a technician a month for the Standard tier, billed annually (checked September 2026). The Unattended Access Standard tier is also 8 pounds per technician per month but covers up to 25 unattended computers, so the per-technician model applies even though a fixed device count is attached. Paying monthly instead of annually costs more, and local taxes are added to the published price.

Does Zoho Assist have a free plan?

Yes, Zoho Assist offers a free plan alongside its paid tiers, covering one technician, five unattended computers and a single concurrent session. There is also a 15-day free trial of the paid plans with no credit card required. The free plan does not include features such as session recording, rebranding or advanced reporting, which appear only from the Professional and Enterprise tiers.

What is the difference between Zoho Assist's Remote Support and Unattended Access plans?

Zoho Assist's Remote Support plans are for ad-hoc, on-demand sessions that a technician starts by sending a customer an email, SMS or join link, aimed at customer support teams. Its Unattended Access plans instead let a technician install an agent once and reconnect to a fixed set of devices without anyone present, aimed at IT and MSP teams managing their own or a client's fleet. The two licence types are priced separately at matching tier price points, so a team doing both kinds of work buys both.

Does Zoho Assist integrate with PSA or helpdesk software?

Zoho Assist integrates with helpdesk and ITSM tools including Zendesk, Freshdesk, ServiceNow and Jira, plus Zoho's own Desk and SalesIQ products, Slack and Microsoft Teams, and it publishes an API for custom integrations. It does not list direct integrations with the PSAs most MSPs run, such as ConnectWise PSA or Autotask, so a team relying on one of those for ticketing should check whether the helpdesk integrations on offer, or the API, cover what it needs before switching.
