From the vendor

LastPass Business is a password manager from LastPass for companies that need shared credential storage, single sign-on and basic visibility into which SaaS apps staff use. It covers individually encrypted vaults synced across devices and browsers, shared folders with permission controls, a password health dashboard, dark web breach monitoring, and an admin console with more than 100 configurable security policies and group-based user management. Business Max, the top tier, adds unlimited SSO apps, advanced MFA, and SaaS Monitoring and SaaS Protect for spotting unsanctioned app use. It suits companies that want a widely recognised, mainstream password manager with a 14-day free trial rather than a demo-only sales process, and MSPs that want to administer several client accounts from one place: LastPass runs a separate MSP program with a multi-tenancy dashboard for exactly that. Pricing is per user per month, billed annually, across Teams, Business and Business Max; LastPass's own pricing page does not display the per-tier dollar figures until a plan is selected, so the specific starting price was not captured for this listing (checked September 2026), and enterprise buyers can also arrange a custom site licence through sales. There is no free tier for LastPass Business, only the trial. LastPass integrates with identity providers including Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, Google Workspace and Active Directory for directory sync and federated login, and reports security events through SIEM integrations for audit trails. LastPass is based in Boston, Massachusetts, in the United States, and has operated as an independent company since its 2024 spin-off from GoTo (formerly LogMeIn), now owned by Francisco Partners and Elliott Investment Management. Before buying, MSPs should get the current per-tier price in writing rather than relying on the headline plan names, confirm which tier includes the SSO, MFA or SaaS-monitoring features they actually need, and read LastPass's own account of its 2022 security incidents, in which an attacker obtained encrypted customer vault backups, since that history is relevant to how much trust to place in credential storage.

Our take

LastPass is an easy shortlist entry for basic team password management, and its multi-tenant MSP console and directory integrations with Entra ID and Okta make it workable for an MSP running several client tenants. The thing to weigh honestly is the 2022 breach: attackers made off with encrypted customer vault backups, and a related US class action was settled in 2025. That history does not make LastPass unsafe to use today, but some buyers will still prefer a rival with a cleaner recent record, such as Bitwarden or 1Password Business, or Keeper for a more security-first pitch. If you shortlist LastPass anyway, ask what changed in its infrastructure after 2022, and get the current per-tier price in writing, since the published figures were not visible on the public pricing page when we checked.

Can I trial LastPass Business before buying?

What happened in the LastPass security breaches?

LastPass disclosed two connected security incidents in 2022: an attacker first accessed its development environment and stole source code along with an encrypted key protecting customer backups, then used information from a compromised employee device to access and copy customer vault backups, including some unencrypted data such as website URLs alongside encrypted usernames and passwords. LastPass has since said it rebuilt parts of its infrastructure, the UK Information Commissioner's Office issued a penalty over the incident, and a related US class action was settled for 24.5 million dollars in 2025. MSPs evaluating LastPass should read the vendor's own account of the incident and its subsequent security changes before relying on it for client credentials.

Does LastPass Business integrate with Microsoft Entra ID and Okta?

Yes, LastPass documents directory integrations with Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, Google Workspace and Active Directory for syncing users and groups and enabling federated single sign-on. Coverage and setup steps can change, so confirm the current integration guide for your specific identity provider before switching.

Does LastPass have a multi-tenant console for MSPs?

Yes, LastPass runs a separate MSP program built on a multi-tenancy platform that lets a managed service provider manage multiple client accounts from one dashboard, with deployment templates and per-client policies. This sits apart from the standard LastPass Business plans aimed at a single company's own staff.
