N-able Passportal

N-able Passportal is a password and credential management platform from N-able for managed service providers, combining privileged access management with IT documentation in one cloud-hosted console. It stores and encrypts client credentials, applies role-based access rules across clients, subfolders and individual passwords, and can auto-generate and auto-expire passwords rather than leaving technicians to reuse them. A documentation manager alongside the password vault lets an MSP write and store client-specific IT documentation using built-in or custom templates, with per-document access control and full version history. Passportal also syncs credential changes with Active Directory and extends to Azure AD and Microsoft 365 accounts, and it logs who accessed which credential and when for audit purposes. Multi-factor authentication is supported through an authenticator app for iOS and Android, and technicians can run password complexity reports to audit credential strength across a client base.
